Happy New Year! |
| Wicked Lasers and Laser Community wishes everyone a Happy New Year! I hope everyone is enjoying the clearance sale. If you are unaware of the clearance sale, click here. The clearance sale ends January 31, 2008 so hurry and don't miss out. This year is going to be quite extraordinary. We have plans for many new lasers and laser pointers. Of course, as we development new lasers, we are also thinking of ways to improve on the old. We're continually working to perfect our lasers and we highly appreciate all your input. As the largest laser pointer forum, Laser Community will continue hosting new contest ideas and laser giveaways.
Congratulations to thecheatscalc for winning The Instructables Challenge! Many members have worked extremely hard on their projects making this contest possible. For those that did not win this time around, I look forward to your participation in our future contests. Your Instructables will be placed in our Project section for other laser enthusiast to see and hopefully try out. I sincerely hope that the creation of Instructables will not stop here. Maybe we can start offering Wicked Bucks for laser Instructables relating to Wicked Lasers products. Any comments? Lastly, I cannot go into details at this time, but there will be some amazing products coming out soon. Stay tuned and check back often! |

Hello, fellow laser hobbiest!
There is something that I would like to share with you. It concerns the company "WickedLasers" and their communist forum techniques to lock in laser newbies to buying their products. I would like to point a few things out that are 100% true and have been confirmed again and again... #1. WickedLasers bans any forum member here that decides to register and post a little on another laser forum, such as www.laserpointerforums.com, www.spectraforum.com, or even www.laserenthusiast.com. #2. If a WickedLasers customer received a faulty product (Which is the case almost 99% of the time, because quality control at WL is non existent), and posts about it on they forum, their post is removed and the user may be banned as well. #3. WickedLasers even sent a DEFECTIVE unit to one of the winners of a contest they had, and when he returned it for a new unit they sent him ANOTHER defective unit [Elite 150]! Is shipping at fault? I think not. Wicked counts on the fact it costs around $20.00 to RMA their products so they can keep on shipping out underspec units until the buyer either gets a refund or keeps his defective unit. WickedLasers also tries to cut costs down by shipping out previously returned units to new customers! #4. There are many many reviews out there of wickedlaser's products, but you never see them because wickedlasers forbids anything slightly negative towards them to be posted here. They figure if they can get/attract as many laser newbies that do not have laser power meters as possible, they can sell off their underpec over prices lasers. I would encourage all of you just to take a moment to read some other websites about wickedlasers, and some other forums so that you can make the decision thats right for YOU as a laser hobbiest. WickedLasers is not the only company to buy high powered (Yeah, right..) lasers from. Let me direct you to several other websites you might be interested in, just to take a peek and see if its right for you (After all, we all want the best quality and customer service, right?) -www.novalasers.com [Proven time and time again to deliver an outstanding product, lasers are always shipped overspec] -www.laserglow.com [LaserGlow, like novalasers, has time and time again satisfied hundreds of people wanting lasers with 200mw+ output.] -www.optotronics.com [The BEST place to go for high powered Blue/Green lasers! Always overspec, GREAT customer service, and look at their prices!] I am in no way affiliated with any of the above companies. I am simply giving my opinion about them, and a LOT of other people would have the same opinion as well! If your looking for info on lasers, but lasercommunity seems to come to a standstill (No members online), I would like to recommend these other forums to you for laser-related help: -www.laserpointerforums.com [THE biggest, unbiased, laser hobbiest forum!] -www.spectraforum.com [A little smaller than LPF, but a great community] After all, when it comes down to it, we all just like to talk lasers, so why not get helpful advice from where ever possible? Now, for personal opinion time... Would I personally ever buy from WickedLasers again? As of now, I would only purchase their goggles. I would like them to really step up to the plate and get some better quality control before I would buy from them again. I hope that whoever gets time to read this before wickedlasers deletes it from their forum takes the time to consider what I have just told you, and for YOU to take control and find the lasers that are right for YOU, and not some shady underspec overprices units that are only out there to sucker in newbies. |
