Whilst patiently waiting for the world to end and my G2 arctic spyder3 to arrive i was looking at the Wicked Lasers Expanded optics kit. Never having used an optics kit before can anyone reccomend this piece of kit to me.
Are there any instructions for experiments with it etc, I do have another famous companys 100+mw green laser which i can use as well.
Will i have a lot of fun with it or will i end up frustrated and half blind
Thanks for any advice ...
EDIT >>>>>Sun JULY 31st...
So far 460 people have looked at my post and not a single person has offered any advice... has NO ONE ever tried using an optics kit?????
I guess everyone is more interested in using their laser to burn the neighbors cat or just setting fire to things..

| I reckon' nobody has gotten an expanded optics kit yet? I ordered a kit in a separate order, but neither have shipped. I will post videos of them when I get the packages. |

| Most likely there's been 480 people hoping to see great advice as well. There used to be some fantastic pictures around here by the user nero_design where he did all kinds of crazy set ups using optics, but not sure if they were the 'wicked optics'. But that was some years ago and I'm too lazy to pilfer through all the images and find the links. |

I got several optics from Wicked Lasers a long time ago, a double concave, double convex, angle prisms, and a cylindric lens called the 'lord lens', they are pretty good because they have AR coating and appear to be of high quality, just be careful with the double convex lens if you are going to use it for burning since its focal point is located like at 1.5cm away from the lens so it gets dirty with the smoke, if I recall correctly the plano convex lens has a focal point located somewhere around 5cm away from the lens, so it would work better for burning tasks.
I made this one a long time ago, it's with WL's angle prisms.

I think you will have a interesting and funny experince and i suggest to try the kit, but only with glasses otherwise...it won't be too pleasant for your eyes. _________________ Photonics Market |
