If the invisible you are talking about is <400nM they I would choose that because it has a higher energy wavelength. _________________

UV is bad for your eyes. That's why they have sunglasses that block out UV light. So it wouldn't be very good for your eyes if a UV laser was shined in them. |

No, sunglasses probably just let less light in. Because it would be dark, your (the black thing in your eye) would expand, letting more light in. When you would shine a laser in your eye, more light would come in and hit your retina. Poof! You're blind with sunglasses and 20mW< UV laser (or any laser)... |

Well, considering most UV lasers are forth harmonic generation ND:Glass lasers, Nitrogen lasers, or eximer lasers, you would be more worried about your skin then eyes. These pulsed lasers can be many megawatt pulses. _________________

I would love to have a UV laser; however I assume they are very destructive/dangerous. First of all your eyes are fairly sensitive to UV as is your skin. Think about what the sun can do, bleach colors from fabric, because fires, blind you, etc. A UV laser would do all of this easily, though it would cause fantastic fluorescing.
P.S. Make sure you have high-quality UV filtering goggles. _________________ Green: 5mW Core + 35mW Executive + ''''130mW'''' (86.28mW tested) EnVee

Those aren't even the most expensive ones. Really what we have are shoddy immataions, those lasers are abou as good as is possible by todays technology. _________________
