My 125 mW is behaving strangely. When i leave it over night, then use it in the morning with a set of freshly charged 850mah batteries, i will get awesome power, burning bags, etching things in plastic etc etc. But as the laser warms up, i get considerable less and less power. I.e. (I press the button, the beam is extremely bright, and almost instantly, the beam dies down.)

Changing batteries doesn't help, the same thing happens. I've heard that the power is strongest when you first power up the laser. Even so, it couldn't burn through extremely thin garbage bags when it powers down. I though 125mw was the minimum power level?

Heres a basic rundown:
1) I power up the laser, its extremely bright and powerful.
2) After 10 seconds usage, 10 seconds rest, 10 seconds usage, 10 seconds rest.. and so on, looping the power goes down.
3) The beam is always bright on the .5 second of pressing the on button, then power fades.
4) Changing to Energizer e2 Lithium, the same thing happens- Extremely bright for .5 seconds then dies down to a laughable power level.
5) Leaving for 2 or more hours, the problem disappears, until i use it a few times, the problem returns.

Please help me solve this problem. I have a 80mW Wicked Laser which did not have this problem. The powerlevel was constant throughout the life of the battery.

Hi, I think its best to contact me @ wicked@wickedlasers.com for a laser replacement since the laser is in warranty, it seems there is a defect in your laser, its not a common problem you are experiencing, thanks and I will take care of that.

Best Regards

As a previous owner of 125mW, what Nexus says is true; it's not a common problem. I took a 125mw to a party (full of responsible adults) and these people would power on the laser for lengthy periods. (30-60secs). Even after that abuse, 125mw was still rock solid.
