I saw on the Video section of the website that there is a new video titled " Love my Laser". It shows a laser projecting a heart image. I've seen some club lasers and concerts and what not do this. How can I do it with my new 80mW WL?
BTW. I have been able to cut bags and pop baloons, but have only gotten smoke out of a match.
Any feedback will be appreciated.

I saw that video... looked good!
You should buy a cheap laser pack from any discount store that includes a set of filters with text or images and then try placing one of these "filters" in front of your laser to achive the same result. You'll want a little mist in order to achive the same results as the one in the video. I'm thinking there was a little fog in that shot since the filters scatter the light and break up the beamstrength unless there's some scanning activity (which there wasn't)
A slightly incensed room or a little bathroom steam will achieve a similar beam effect (watch you don't fog up your laser!) or wait for some mist outside. I've seen those pointers with filter sets sell for around $2-$10. |

Thanks. I should of thought that. It just looked so good. I will get some tomorrow. Speaking of getting the lense dirty. How secure is the lense if I unscrew the top?
Also I do not see the 80mW laser on the website for sale. It was advertised on Ebay as an 80mW laser and it does state <80mW on the sticker on the laser. Is it a 75mW and it is labeled for a max of 80mW? Or is it one that fell in between the 75mW and the 95mW?
I still can't get more than a little smoke from a match. I wonder if I should of stepped up to the Nexus.

I've got a NEXUS and although I was able to light one match handheld and two matched clamped in front of the NEXUS in a vice, I have been unable to repeat the experience. I can get plenty of smoking matches but ignition seems to occur when the lasers are pre-warmed and exceed their output labels (just a guess). A lot of people report similar experiences (could light one or two matches but no more). I did my match experiments after giving the NEXUS a good solid workout first. No explaination but the beamstrength is as stated so it's no big deal as long as I can still write names in plastic food wrappers. _________________ Regards,
