Ive already tried using 3/ 5mw red pointers together with a 10mw hene laser and shot the beams through a focusing lens onto a blackened tissue paper to see what happens. the total of those is 25mw and that did nothing no smoke or anything at all. I understand it works different someone said on the forums to have one laser shooting 35mw or a number of beams doing it. |

Very impractacle, but definately do-able. All you need is 20 5mW red laser pointers.

Why shouldn't it work? If the beams are collated and the final beam has small diameter and divergence.
In this case, the total of 25mw is a max, there would be some loss for each beam and loss through optics - bring 4*50mw's together and you may have a 150mw+ final. |

I think the problem is that the laser light is not synced (however you spell that sink-ed word) which probably lessenes the impact of the lasers' affect.

HEY I have 14 of those 1mWs but most of them are still in their packages. I have sold 3, used 2 and left of those, 9 exactly, are still in their packages, sealed.
