No idea.

Oh, another thing that probably deserves mention -- apparently the blue lasers are especially
sensative to temperature. When I first got mine, it didn't want to work at first, and Steve's
suggestion was "warm it up a little". After some experimenting, I eventually found that it
produced its brightest output when it was a little *cooler* than room temperature, about
20 degrees centigrade.

Why should the blue ones be any more temperature sensative than the greeen ones of similar power?

I don't really know, but I guess the crystals are just more "finicky".

I read a long thread about blue lasers over on CandlePower Forum. The guy who had one
(not a spider, one of the little <10 mW ones like WickedLasers carries) was complaining about
how unstable it was. They are pretty new technology, after all, maybe all the bugs aren't
worked out yet.
