does anyone own one of these pen size stun guns? i wonder how it is possible to fit a transformer inside one of these. at 500k volts it sounds quite impressive! _________________

but shouldn't a 3v to 500kv transformer be bigger than the diameter of a pen? _________________

I agree with kades, it does appear to be a tad bit small. Plus, look at those buttons . |

no, it's real, if you look closely you can't operate one of these things for more than a second or two, otherwise you'll burn the coils. _________________

It looks like a modified steak thermometer...the kind with the LED's that tell you if it's rare, medium well, well...
You have to be REALLY close to the person to use it.
Those stun guns that we've all seen in the past. I had one. I was screwing around with it one day next to a tall file cabinet... Which I was leaning against... Then without ANY thought I stuck it to the cabinet. Oh my god that was painful.
That was the LAST time I touched one of those.

tc, do you know someone who has one of these? i'm thinking it's just an electric prod and doesn't have the same effect of a proper stun gun, am i correct? _________________

no it should, it's only going to be for a small second.
ALSO you're mixing amperage with voltage, 3000A at 12v would be one heck of a shock while 30,000v at .01A isn't much, I know, I've been shocked by that (that's my Pulse jet igniter) and it isn't painful my 6000uF 330v camera taser gives a much heftier shock. _________________
