I know we have talked about INOVA flashlights on here a few times, but I just got a HID Flashlight. This thing is BRIGHT 
24W AE Powerlight = 1300 lumens
You can search candlepowerforums for it. Does anyone else have an HID Flashlight??

Dude, HID flashlights are awesome! Post some pics!
I dont have an HID flashlight, but I have something almost as cool, and it puts out over 3,000 lumens. Its a full 35Watt HID headlamp assembly complete with ballast from a Honda S2000 sports car. I wired it up to a radio shack 12V power supply, and its effin' BRIGHT! It has one of those eliptical projector lens systems in it that make a rasor sharp cutoff line in the beam pattern. I use it as a room lamp now, and it makes a really cool piece of automotive art that looks really nice wether its turned on or off. It also has a working Halogen high-beam, and a working turn signal lamp too. If you ever have seen an S2000, Im sure you know what the headlights look like.

Awesome..if you want a relatively cheap lantern type, Harbor Freight has one labeled as 30 million candle power. It is a 35w HID and extrmeely bright for $130 or something. This is a great deal. I have no way of hosting pics?
