Wicked have just put new lasers up and the 15mw states its range is 2 miles and the 35mw states its range is 4 miles? whats up with that? i thought the 5mw's range was 2miles with the 10mw going 4miles and so on. Is there some type of mistake or are the lasers actually weaker than what the power output states?

Hey G.M,
I have often wondered that myself. Maybe they are changing thier range specs to something a little more realistic. I've noticed with my Nexus.........with the help of some laser detector equipment.....a person could probably "Detect" my Nexus at 40+ miles......but you couldn't see the beam or the dot from that distance. On the other hand........we tend to think....."40 mile range means I should be able to see the "Dot"! Of course that's silly because when you see your "Dot", you are looking at a reflection from your lasers' beam! I know with my Nexus.....out here in the country....on a clear night, I can see my lasers' "Reflection" on a white barn that I know is near 8 miles away! Now considering the laser is not being bounced off a mirror.......I'd say thats unreal! The range that Wicked advertises is no doubt a "Max Range" scenario, and probably accurate. Being able to see a Nexus "Reflection" from 40+ miles away? No......thats not even a fair way to judge the lasers total distance. Hope this helps a little. Rolling Eyes Cheers Dale

I believe it's simply a mistake. I have a 15mW and it can easily illuminate a target up to about six miles. I'll post some photographs sometime today.

The range is now correct. 35mw range=14miles and 15mw range=6miles.

At that distance, you would need a vast increase in power to get say even 10 more miles.
