| Probably. I don't have a cap set so I can't say for sure. But I use a printers magnifying glass and if I sharpie the match it will ignite within a few secs. |

I ordered a 300mW laser early July and received it without a hitch within a week. The Australian power limit for lasers has always been 2mW anyway. They cant enforce it. Theres just been so much publicity recently it's placed a level of fear in not receiving the product is all. It merely causes you not to order and not get one. The company's cant confirm you'll receive it obviously. But you do. Cause I did!  |

I really don't think receiving a laser in AUS is a huge problem. I mean, the customs go through hundreds of thousands of packages a day and they are not going to open every one of them. The problem is using the laser in AUS, be careful because you DON'T want to get CAUGHT (without a permit)...  |

| You guys DO realize that the Australian Media used the posts in this forum to push those laws into place now, right? The Daily Telegraph visits this forum on a daily basis to obtain evidence to push their anti-laser agenda. |

| Didn't know that. But if that's the case, then how did they manage to actually get the laws passed? I dont think I've read many posts (if any) in here where people discuss their misuse of lasers within Australia. Dont get me wrong, it's very understandable that a lot of their information would've come from this source... I just dont see how this forum could've provided enough information to support the banning of them. I'm obviously not reading all that many of the posts, or simply missing the ones discussing misuse. |

2 month bump, wow.
Well, I must admit since the new laws have came in the rate of incidents have now dropped off. And so has Morris Iemma.
Nero, have you had anymore contact in regards to these laws? I think you said in an eairler post or in a different thread that when the heat cools off you were looking to do something about getting these laws ammended or something like that. |

Oh true, I've been shining my advanced in the sky at night as well and I live under Military air space. Though there is hardly if any air traffic at night. We can hear planes and choppers comming pretty well though so it's no problem to shut it off if I hear them comming.
If any one quotes this post in the media I will take legal action against you. This is a warning to you Byron Kay and The Daily/Sunday Telegraph. |

Its just the press, the lawers etc... that wanted to get this passed so the idiots who actually shine it onto planes or get caught owning or shining one get a bigger and standard fine etc...
But yeah, the thing is Byron Kaye based his article on things that I said and others and most of us dont even live in Australia! |
