Anyone know where both mRad and Beam diameter are equal?

such as 1.2 mRad and 1.5mm for my CORE 5mW 532nm laser

Wouldnt this mean that the the equality would come to 1.35 mRad and 1.35 mm Diameter?

I just cant seem to figure it out etc...

why would you ever want to have these quite independent properties of a laser to have the same number?

Actually , mrad is milliradians, so 1/1000 of a full radian.

It's quite useless to have those measurements the same.

ok

let me save myself by changing the question [>.<]

What is the lowest divergence and the lowest beam diameter you can achieve? natively? As in without making its focal point expand at a rate of like 80mRad lol

I can't remember the fancy physics, but I will comment on three things:

1. The mRad and the beam diameter have a fixed relationship to each other for specific frequency of light.

2. The shorter the wavelength the better you can get. So a perfect violet laser can be made with a much smaller mRad for the same beam diameter as a perfect red laser.

3. Lasers sold are not even close to their 'perfect' settings as the optics are very expensive for small gains.

Without going into specifics, generally a thicker beam can be collimated better then a thinner one. So a larger beam diameter generally can have a lower mRad number. As for focusing, aprox 1/2 of the wavelength.
