This isn't really a technical question I just want to know if I'm right.
The dot on my 75mw laser pointer is distorted. When pointing it there seems to be an "X" that crosses through my dot. It's not a clearly defined X rather 3 or 4 lines on each crossing.
Does this sound like a scratched lens? I don't think a dirty lens would produce such a dot. I have yet to pick up a microfiber cloth to clean with
Any reply would be great. Thanks |

| Post a picture if possible. And cleaning it with such a cloth could be useful, it migt just be dust. |

Welcome to the forum N.M.....That does sound like a dirty lens. Clean it very gently with a MICROFIBER cloth. _________________ Best Regards Chargerman

| Just wondering: ow could having your laser on too long cause mode hopping? Anyway, a picture still is the best. It could be anything from dirt to a damaged coating. |
