Nowhere in the entire universe.
Argon lasers are gas lasers, not Diode Pumped Solid State. So, what will it be? |

No, 488nm laser diodes exist and have power ranges from 10-50mW but the bare diode is around 2000$ so don't count on it. There are some good argons flying around on ebay from 400-900 $ and are more powerful than 488nm diodes, but less efficient, and some require a cooling system, so you need to add 200$. _________________ Always look on the bright side of lasers... Still, those diodes aren't argon
The cheapest source of short wavelength laserlight are the 405nm diodes, but that is violet. For blue, the 473 DPSS is very expensive, so argon comes in mind, which is at 488nm (I guess), and if you have a multiline laser it goes to 515nm, blue-cyan-green. I'd love to have one of those |

| You can get some really good deals on argons on Ebay, i've seen argons for $150-$250 for the laser head ( up to 200mW ) and the PSU |

Some body has a <5W argon |

| I think I saw a video of that argon, if its the same one were talking about, there are some really good deals on argons , you just need to look about. |

| How long has it been sitting there idle ? if its been sitting there too long, it A) might not work at all B) might need to be run for 10minutes twice a day for 2 or 3 weeks to get it back up to full power. I've seen a 15W argon on ebay for $250, it would need 3 phase though because it would be using around 150A, 6W only uses around 50-60A |

| It's idle for some time, the research was completed and the laser not needed anymore. But, the powersupply wasn't near it, so I may need to build/buy that one. If the laser head is still there, I haven't been there in a while. |

If you can get it, and get a PSU ( Try ebay for that ) it might still not work from being idle for so long, but if it works, run it for a while just to get the power back up, that thing will also need some amount of cooling |

Complete AWESOMENESS!!! HAVING A 6W ARGON ON FOR AT LEAST 20MINS A DAY! I can imagine it : burning thru my walls, setting homework on fire and that BEAUTIFUL Argon beam... _________________ resistance is futile (if <1 ohm)
