Wicked refuse to sell IRL?

Well, it started with that I wished a laser from Wicked to my birthday, and since my dad lives only a couple of hours from Shanghai, I gave him adress, and the Wicked site.
A friend of him, "Henry" (Chinese guy, real name not Henry) called WickedLasers, and they refused to sell anything IRL, Wicked told Henry that he had to buy it on internet.
Ive seen people here that have visited WickedLasers headquarter, and bought lasers... 
So I thought it was kinda strange...
Btw: Now he have a backupplan, hes looking around for a 50 microWatt(as my dad told me xD I was like: Wth? Micro? xD).
Anyways, hes looking for a 50mW lasers, I told him its important like hell that it haves IRfilter, but when I get it(If), how can I check if its IR?

You can check if it has IR by shining it through red wine and using a cheap camera to view if any light passes through. If you see any light passing through, then it has IR.

I modded a cheap webcam by removing the IR filter and placing a visible light filter. This way, I only see IR on it. I use a piece of red acrylic to filter the green. It leaves no green, but the piece is completely transparent to IR.
Some camera's have a night shot function, these should pick up the beam without problem (check their IR viewing with a remote). Others have a IR filter, but they may not filter all, so keeping it directly in the beam may give a white screen, indication IR. But this method is not really that secure and can damage the camera.
Or, you can just buy an IR webcam of ebay, they're quite cheap, and a good item for laserists like us. |

My dad misunderstood Henry!
He told me now, (hes home from China)
