hello im new to lasers i dont know much bout how they work, but am interested to learn,
recently i bought a green 200mW 532nm laser pen, i was expecting something moderatly good but to be honest it doesnt do much, is there anyway of changing/modifing it to make it say burn paper/matches or even pop ballons, currently i cant feel any heat coming off it what so ever?
could someone please help much appreciated

If you bought it from WL, you should be able to return it. If it's an eBayser, you are SOL. Ebay lasers are generally low quality and don't perform up to spec unless you buy from the right person.
You could try a "pot mod".

are you using black marker on ballons or put black dot on hand and it should
sting green laser will burn red and black objects best

Its probably a laser without IR-filter, throw it in the water...
The input goes like this:
