| I have, but it wasn't mine. I was a guest at quite a laser show played to Pink Floyd. It was pretty cool to say the least. |
It's not a Pink Floyd show if there aren't lasers involved. |

| REd lasers tend to be cheaper than others just because to the human eye they do not emit as much light as the green ones do |

| No, reds are cheaper because they are far easier to manufacture. |

I bought a 8 lens Club Laser. It is Red and Green and mixes to
get yellow. It functions fine but for $400 on sale it was not a good value in that it is only 4.9mw. It is fine for a small room with ALOT of smoke/fog but not much application for even a medium size party space.
I bought one of their DMX controllers, it works fine and was a good value at $200. The fact that they sell the 4.9mw laser like mine for $700-$800 is outragious. I bought a 340mw 5 beam unit for $400 that is more of what you are looking for in a home set up. I got it from EBay. It works GREAT!! What irked me about the Extreme lasers was the fact that they advertized their 4.9mw as "appropriate for any venue".
Obviously not true. As it was my first freestanding unit, I chalk it up to a learning experience. The only upside to their 4.9mw unit is that it requires no FDA variance. However, the ones that they sell that are of a decent pwer are soooo expensive. Shop Around and happy laseing!!! |
