If i do a video of a light match with my nexus, can i damage my camera?

it will not damage your camera:
- don't point the laser to the lens (camera)
- don't be too close to the match at lest 20cm from the camera |

i learned this the hard way as my camera doesn't work anymore....
200 gone down the drain = (
i was stupid and pointed the laser into the camera.
