Hi, I want to build one blu ray Laser pointer, what i need to know about ? how many mW, where i find the diode cheap, this things thank you everyone

You can find them on eBay, especially spare PS3 laser units. These are readers and so only have a low powered diode, but you might find burners on there as well which will give you a more powerful laser. Main thing is to build or purchase a driver for the laser. Make sure not to over power it with to much voltage and more then about 40ma will also kill it. _________________ Cheers, Sean. I built one with moderate success, but it was too ambitious as a first electronics project for someone with little electronics experience. I did learn quite a bit though.
