Hi, I'm new to the forum as well as lasers. I am a Computer Science/Computer Engineering undergraduate student and I just ordered a 95mW Laser green laser from Wicked Lasers. When I saw the xy scanners, I thought it would be cool to try writing some software for one. My question is if there is a good walkthrough on how to build the hardware for this.

| Ok, I found some good information; so, I understand the fundamental concepts and can design one now. My next question is if anyone knows where a good place would be to get galvanometers relatively inexpensively. |

Hm well, I bought mines from ebay, unfortunately I don't think they are available any more..you should check it out though, there might be some similar auctions going on. I bought 3 galvos for about 10$ (can't remember the exact price). Anyway, they performed pretty good price compared. _________________
