Ok here it is the review

Sonar II Burner specs

Size: 20mm x 123mm
Wavelength: 405nm
Laser Body: 6061-T6 Aircraft-Grade Aluminum
Transverse Mode: TEM00
Output Power: 60mW
Beam Divergence: 1.5mRad
Beam Diameter: 2.5mm @ aperture
Power Consumption: 800mA
Power supply: 2xCR123A
Battery Lifetime: 60min
Switch: Momentary On/Off Button
Expected lifetime: >5,000 hours

First impressions

When i first got it out of the box i realized straight away i loved the look of the sonar II. The white finish on the aluminum is great it looks like pearl its so smooth and stylish very unique as we have come to get use to from wicked. and im glad they kept the same shape and dimensions as the sonar I as it cant really be made better.

ok as for the beam well simple its brighter a lot brighter then the sonar I its visible in a lit room with no smoke its nice and tight at aperture but does get wider quickly. here are a few beam pics and video

Beam specs

At aperture its 2.4mm
at 20feet its 8mm

= 0.9mRad Shocked

as you can see well within spec i will retry this at a greater distance asap

Video of the beam here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS2ro8qllBE

Now few with sonar I and Sonar II

Ok as for the power as follows

Max output power was = 92mw This was when i first turn it on with new batteries.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWR0lqL1Kjs

Min output power was = 65mw

The avrg output = 80mw

Here is the video of all the output checks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wXFAnKsMxA

burning capabilities

OK i tried unaided burning with the sonar even tho it is not meant for this and surprise it doesnt burn unaided
however and its a big however with a lens i used the wicked caps set it burns very well at about an inch and a
half.

match light video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ht7wgQntpF4

Balloon pop here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbME2iyC_aY

Conclusion

The sonar II is a amazing and powerful blu-ray laser and the unit i have is over spec and
performing brilliant it burns with ease with a lens and the beam is visible in a lit dusty room
the new button design deserves a mention as it is vastly improved from the sonar I well done wicked good
improvement.

Design and look 9/10
power 10/10
beam specs 8/10

Overall 9.5/10

And the rest of the pics Ive taken now

Ok that's it thanks all sorry about the poor videos as you can probably see Ive got a ccd problem thus the blue dots
in middle of screen nothing i can do it ment camera was not functioning well focus was not great.

will do some better videos when i get camera fixed or new one very soon

Very good! Awesome pics!!

The casing has indented rings on it as if it is for a scope mount or something... Very Happy That pure white makes it look even more amazing...

Lol Murrat was wondering how long till someone mentions that

it was a local sea front on a very stormy day huge waves 60-70 mph gusts etc i recorded over it and that somehow appeared in the video !!!

Fuzion, do you have any pics approx. (or close to) 1680x1050 res? I would really appreciate one or two of those for my desktop background, especially a dark one with a nice beam shot. Very Happy
