This is a Dorcy Flashlight with a sony dvd diode I ordered pre-installed in a housing. Its voltage is regulated and I added a resistor to reduce heat, and increase diode life. The beam is about as visible as my core's beam. It cost $55 to make.

| awesome! I did notice a ring around your dvd laser though. Is that from a dirty lens? Or are you missing some sort of collimating lens? Love the video though! |

| I've seen that all of the DVD lasers have that ring, I don't know why, but it doesn't bother anything else. I actually burnt out this diode due to an extra strong pack of batteries and a failure in the flashlights regulation. But I ordered another one and should have it working again. |
