Hi guys !
If you live in EU, you will know how hard it is to find tripods, or hardware stores. I am going to post the instruction manual to build your laser stand with... legos. This is an improved version of what I made two days ago as some may notice that I posted something idiot about it . This is almost the same model, with the improvement of on/off switch and a photonic disruptor mode (exept the fact that CNI laser are not waterproof...), and the ability to be portable, and dismanteled easally .
Of course, it does not beat the cool wicked model, which is made in aluminium. The lego magnifying lens seemed to match perfectly the diameter of the CNI model . The blue key is to maintain the lens above the laser for normal use. Any questions comments are welcome !
Copyright and don't tell that it is you who made the instruction manual !
Cheers !

Hey staminanerd,
This is excellent work. Good picts too.
Your instructions are very clear to follow.
Have you thought about motorising this via a PC using software so that you can move it. I know that microsoft----hissss boooo----has a page for lego robotics etc on there website using c#
I am learning c++ right now and am really impressed with lego and the stuff you can do with it and lego robotics looks really interesting.
Just a thought staminanerd.

| Instead of going through all the trouble of building a stand out of LEGO pieces, you can go to WalMart, K-Mart, or even a camera store, (although the afore mentioned stores would be far less expensive). They all carry camera tripods that can easily be modified into a laser holding tripod. You're initial cost should be in the neighborhood of $5.00 or so. Then with a little ingenuity you can easily figure out a way to attach your laser to the tripod and voi-la you've got yourself a cheap durable laser tripod. I hope this was of some assistance to all you laser heads out there! Keep those lasers burning brightly and safely! Have a good day and may we all live in peace and safety God willing. PHOENIX77
