Odd...I've actually thought about doing that, but never did since I have almost no knowledge on building lasers at all.

Well, according to the article, it is possible.
We just need a TON of lasers shining at the one place at the one time, that's all that thing really is  (wouldn't be pocket sized though, more like garbage truck sized) |
