Ok, but how'd you know the diode was 50mW?
And if I can find a cheap burner, I'm going for it. 
Did you buy it on Egay or Ebay? |

egay (bay)
i believe there are only two companies that make high powered 405nm diodes and both are rated at 60mw CW
http://www.sony.net/Products/SC-HP/pro/laser_diode/blu_ray.html
so run it at 50mw and it will be under powered |
