You can if there's fog, dust, sand or anything else filling up the atmosphere around.

No unfortunatly, Green shows as it's a more dominant colour in the light spectrum

I can see the beam of my Pulsar 150 if I am "looking down" the beam path, but not from the side under ordinary conditions - and in the dark. If it's foggy then it is more visible, but can't compare to a green or blue laser.
Here's some pics taken on a cold winter night and I was breathing on the beams (same effect as fog or smoke):
Pulsar alone:
Pulsar and Nexus:

| If you really want to see the beam, take it somewhere there is smoke in the air, (ie. bars, camping, etc.). I took mine out camping one time, just to play around with it, and at night, with the campfire low, I shot a beam straight up. We had people coming from other sites wondering what was going on!

Red beam powerful enough to see as much as green in semi light conditions is amazing! You need over 250mW+ to get there hough.
I hope Wicked steps up and be the first to make hand held laser in this high range.

You can see it if it's generated from a good angle and if the range is long enough. Hold your laser (outdoors) at the height level of your eyes near your ear (kind of like the Borg ). The beam should be visible. Or generate it in front of you, little sideways at same height toward the exact far area you are looking at.

This might sound odd, but I can see the beam on my 200mW red laser... Even if I am off to the side, and even when the lights are on but dim. I can even use it for star pointing. The problem is that it's only about as bright as a 5mW green!

| I can see my P150 fine in most conditions. It's not nearly as bright as a grennie but its there. Just follow the diredtiong of the previous posts and you should be able to see the beam.

Many factors determine how well you see beam. If the beam is coming towards you it will appear brighter ! If the air is humid it will appear much brighter than on a dry day.
Here is pic I took of 140mW 650nm Pulsars, and two 202mW 660nm reds in semi lit conditions with less than 1 sec exposure. No smoke, but it was humid.
This is how beams appeared to the eye as well.
However, if you move to the side or behind the laser, it will appear way less visible.

Good pics, Milos! Especially the last one, with the two reflected beams. Impressive!
