Instead of just spamming to up my postcount, I figured I'd give back to the community. This is the result of a 80mw laser, a random motor, a huge heatsink, and the hex mirror out of a deceased laser printer.

also note the blacklights, ropelights, and the discoball w/ suspended ultrabright LED lighting.

Is there a known best point to mount a pen WL to a turning disc or something to help prevent damage?

I guess it's safer for your laser to hold the laser itself still and aim the beam at a rotating mirror... Many members here have made a scanner, I'm sure they can tell you all you want to know about this. Smile

Wow at first I tought that it was an Ar laser. Shocked But nice..
I want 1 blacklight, I have over $400 but I just can't spend money so much!

Mounting a laser to a motor will just shake the laser and can damage or misalign the crystals inside.

i just got a liquid sky effect by making a "cap" with a little clear glass rod no moving parts it works amazingly well for how cheap i made it. ill get pics up as soon as i can
