Has anyone tried buying a 20gb PS3, taking out the diode and putting it in the wicklaser sonar case?

Is it possible?

It'd be the cheapest blue laser you can buy pretty much Razz

Lol, Blu-Ray is a violet laser diode, not a blue DPSS laser module, you may rip off the diode from a PS3 to get a violet laser though.

The sled costs about 80$ while the whole PS3 costs <500$...
You can then also buy a Nexus from WL. Smile

So the laser is violet from the Playstation? How many different colors can you get in a consumer laser?

I personally would never take apart my PS3 to get a laser. Just my opinion.
