Hi, i have a few rechargable NiMH 1.2V 850mAh batteries, these work fine in my core, but will they be alright when i get a pulsar?? will these be high performing batteries??

Seems batteries last longer in red lasers than green ones..

Do not use Lithiums of any type.
The reason:
The laser is designed for 3V. Lithiums initially provide up to about 1.7V per cell, ~3.4V total, which can damage/kill the diode. |

Wouldn't that be due to the different wavelength needed to create the RED beam instead of the GREEN beam? Red is much 'lower' on the wave scale than green is, as far as visible light is concerned. So to me, that means it would take more energy to pump out a green beam than a red beam.
I'm not an electrician, but I think that's how it works.  |

Are lithiums bad for all red lasers?
I have a Dell projector, and the remote control has a built in red laser pointer (650nm, <1mW, Class II). Can I replace the batteries with lithiums, or should I just stick with alkalines to be safe? Actually, considering how much lithiums cost, wouldn't that make them less efficient than alkaline for most applications?
Haha. On a somewhat unrelated note, this remote seems to be getting a little 'buggy' with old batteries in it. I just tried the laser, which somehow sent the power on signal. Hmm. Maybe someone spilled water on it and the batteries aren't low at all. |

I'm not exactly sure what those batteries are. Do they use lithium? The original post says not to use any sort of lithium battery in a pulsar laser. The second post though, says that titaniums are the best for these lasers. After reading more, it looks like some lithiums are labeled 1.5v or 1.6v but can actually peak at 1.7v.
Unless I was sure of what I was doing, I would not risk it. I lost a green laser to water damage (my own stupidity trying to clean the lens) a while back, and without warning it just went out. That sucked and I'd hate to see the same happen to anyone because of incompatible batteries. |

i bought some energizer ultra+ for my pulsar (which i still await)
couldnt find the titaniums ones? r these the wrong ones?
on the side of the battery it says lr03 1.5v e92 am4?
where can i buy the e2 titaniums? |

No, even a greenie has a 808nm pump diode. The 670nm diodes are WAY more efficient than the DPSS process! I think that DPSS is somwhere around 10% and red 670nm is 60%. That's what I think. |

Do you live in Europe? I think that the batteries you know as Energizer Ultra are the ones that are known as e2 Titanium in America.
I could be wrong though.
