Can the IR beam in a laser burn?
For example, if a 532nm 80mw laser was 50mw green and 30mw IR.
Could it still burn? |

Yes, at short distances, the IR light can't be collimated as well and diverges off quickly.

Anything over 15mW. Just like the greens.
It's the same as any light and should be taken MORE seriously because it's invisible. |

It dissipates in the atmosphere very quickly so at close range is when you worry.
