Interesting project. I look forward to see it in operation and hearing what you think of the DT40s.
Nice set of fans BTW, sure you don't want to buy a few of my larger-sized TECs? |

I love my DT-40's, especially for the price!
I'm not sure if this is the general consensus still but Jian told me to heatsink the amplifiers very heavily and keep them cool with fans, but to actually NOT cool down the mounting block for the galvos. He mentioned that they were calibrated after warming up. I wouldn't be overly concerned about it but just though to let you know in case Jian didn't. |

Woah... Post some pics of it in action when you're done!
P.S.- Anybody know of some good sources for stepper motors? |

For the galvos? You can't use just any stepper motors for those! _________________

That is awesome, maybe I should get myself a labby and build a scanner? Nah, too difficult for me...

Starting to look pretty slick there Andy. Hopefully I can catch up with you in 2 weeks when I get out of classes. So far I got everything running but it's not mounted up just yet.
BTW what software are you running those on? |

I have become very interested in building a laser scanner recently. So far I don't have the money or knowledge but I have been researching a lot. I have already look at Boomdogs and Andy-cons site and they both helped. Do you guys know of any other sites with really really indepth tutorials and explainations of everything. For instance I don't even know why there is an amp in the whole circuit. Anything is a help. Thanks. _________________ Play it like its a bass |
