When I first got it I played with it much and saw how far away I could pop a balloon and all that stuff but then I went back to my Phoenix again and today when I took my pulsar out from the dragon case it didn't converg anymore! What happend? I had it in my dragon case all the time.
You guys think I can Call Customer Support?

This happened to my Pulsar 100 as well, temperature usually changes divergence, so let you laser cool down and see if it converges again.
Mine didn't, so... I focus-modded it. _________________ >>Click here to go to my laser userbars site!<<

Don't Think I will risk mine with a focus mode. Yeah it is maybe because it is hot or it is like 23 Celsius here in Sweden now! But how can it cool down if I haven't use it for like 2 weeks I think it should be cooled down then.
EDIT: It convergs again! I but it in a cold clauset. Didn't think it was so sensitiv to heat! It was just 23-24 celsius and the dot become hugh! But thanks KingK for helping. _________________ exec phoenix 75mW <--- phoenix video!

Hm, this is interesting that many people have noticed this in hot/cold weather. Maybe Wicked Lasers should do environmental testing on their lasers, _________________

Or even better: Make it focussable. And maybe power it with three batteries and attach a driver board so the laser always operates in high power mode. I even thought about modding mine with attaching such a board, but as the diode is already wired directly to the batteries the problem is it's just useless. At least three batteries would be needed.
I'm thinking of building a Push-up converter with the size of one AAA batterie that powers 1,5V up to 4 or some like that and then regulate the diode. But as for now, it seems there is not enough space left in the unit for that. |

ya, i wonder how a laser preforms after 1 hour in the freezer, compared to 1 hour after being in the las vegas sun? _________________

Mine hasn't converged... Ever...
Haha
Oh well, I've got lenses for burning and that's all I need.... _________________

Yeah, but which one you've got, one of the old matte white ones? Those don't converge, but the new ones do, making them ideal for long range burning, but bad for close burning without the aid of a converging lens. _________________ >>Click here to go to my laser userbars site!<<

I've got a P100 that is the solid chrome case w/ no clip and has the name etched in it. Basically, the most up to date I think. I got it only a few months back. _________________

Not true. It will just depend on each individual laser. They should all converge slightly, but the thing is you won't really notice it if its collimated well. The better the collimation, the less of a defined focus you get (look up "rayleigh waist") so that even at the focal point it may appear pretty large. |
