Hey I was thinking about buying a pulsar 125 once I have the money. But I was wanting to use it for un-aided burning. I know they have a big beam diameter so it would have to be focus modded but I am nervous about tinkering with it. I am wandering if the focus mod is hard to do? And instead of that is there a way to make a focuser.
Thanks for the help, |

I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you remove front cap off, you can adjust focus with appropriate flat head screwdriver.
I have the first generation of pulsar and its possible on them, so hopefully someone that owns new series can confirm this for you.
good luck. _________________ - Hand held laser 350mW+ - May 2007 - GREAT LASER

| yea this is true you can ajust the focus with a flat head screw driver if you remove the end cap, but i warn you the lense gets loose and moves often and this is very dangerous i broke my pulsar doing this. Be very carful if you do decide to do it but i don't recomend it. |

You have to remove a little glue around the edges, but yes, its the same on the new pulsars as its been on the old silver ones. Making it into a focus modded pulsar is always the most fun though |

unadjusted, there's NO way you're going to be lighting anything on fire... aided, you can torch stuff!
But yes, you'ld have to remove the aperture cap, remove the glue on the sides, (depending on how much, not too hard) screw it further out ( I think that's right) then put the cap back on! (once you're satisfied with the dot)
When are you expecting to buy one? _________________

If you completely remove the lense, and wrap a small piece of teflon tape around it - you can gain the needed friction to make it stop being loose. Or you can email Wicked - and ask from one of their tensioning springs. Or, you can send me your shipping info, and I can drop a spring in the mail to you if I have a spare (I think I do @!) |
