Most cameras pick IR like a bluish dot, but it is actually a dim red dot.
Some expensive cameras have an IR filter, so they don't pick IR.

Yep sure is, you would find that power diode in a 100mW+ model green. |

The dot could have also been the extreem heat also, like how things get red and hot. |
