Wow, I've been thinking about building something along these lines. I have a standard pointer 15mw green laser that looks identical to the wicked lasers and would love to purchase one of your setups... how do you get the beam to power up and down the blade and is that part of the laser setup or your rig?
Sooooo when is the power up and down version going to be available?

It already is available on all models. _________________

Thanks,
Yeah after checking the site out I figured it out and went ahead and purchased one!
Can't wait, starting to piece together a nice costume now. Besides loving Star Wars and Star Trek (and just about all things Sci-Fi) I have a LOVE for lasers. From laser shows to just the fuzzy look of a laser dot I love it. Thanks for the reply Olozhika, love the pics you got up there!
So I saw the pics on the website with a 5mw vs a 90mw. My question is does anyone have other pics with different mw powers than those? I currently have a 15-20mw and am just wondering how it will look. Obviously the stronger the laser the brighter the blade…
I wonder how this would look with one of the new Blue lasers (even though I don’t think they would fit without modification).
Glad to have found this forum!

NICE! can't wait!
I'm starting to think I'm going to need a much more powerful laser to get the "wow" effect off the saber...
Dang...

They look pretty amazing even with a 5mW laser.

What case design does the laser have. If it's not a Wicked Lasers product then I need to make sure it's going to work correctly. I may need to adjust the button placement a little. |

Do you custom make all of these? If so, keep up the good work, they look nice! _________________

Yeah, I can't wait to get mine! I like unique things and if you show up with one of these there's a good chance nobody will have one like it.
The few things that sold me on the saber are:
Growing/Shrinking light blade (talk about the ability to make an entrance!)
Uniquely hand made item of high quality
Uses a Laser for the light (Not just becaue I love lasers, but the light they give off captures the eye more than ANY EL or LED light could ever dream of)
Bendable/Strong blade material
Ability to change blade color with laser color (a BlueRay Laser would look sweet, but they won't fit without heavy modification)
** Question ** I wonder how powerful of a laser it could take without something melting?

I have thought a lot about this. If you were using a LaserSaber with that much power you would have to wear a reflective suit and some very good eye protection!
SenKat,
I'm looking forward to those pictures. |

| Tomorrow night is most DEFINTELY picture night ! I also gotta run and get a new coupler - seems link mine bit the dust somehow - does Home Depot carry them, or Lowes ? It is the black part that the laser slides up into, and the has the white "nut" that screws down, to keep the laser secure... |

I can't wait to see some pics!
I just got a new 12.1 Megapixel Sony for my Bday! (the girlfriend must REALLY be trying to impress!). So needless to say I'll Be a picture-holic in no time!
I only have a green 15mw right now, but I also have a fog machine, so I'll be trying some cool setups most likely this week and posting.
As soon as I get my LaserSaber I'll be posting many pics of that as well. If I get my Saber before the end of the week I'll be going to the Los Angeles Convention Center to show it off!
Can't wait to see those pics! |

The Lowes I shop at carries them.
If I remeber correctly all you have is a blade, correct? I have just had a batch of newly designed blade holders machined. I could make you a sweet deal on a blade holder it would be much stronger then the black plastic part. Over time you might end up with a whole LaserSaber. |

I still have one question about these laser sabers: how is the "slow motion" beam being created? Or is this a company-secret? |

Wow, very nice! Please do post pictures. I need a 15mW picture for my comparison shots. If you don't mind taking one for me, that would be great. My other comparison shots were taken just after sunset.

My secret is a metal slider in the blade and a magnetic blade tip. |
