Hmm I've looked around, but honestly I don't see any that are cheaper. Any that I have found cheaper are for other types of lasers/wavelengths.

These are $40 retail, but probably less online. They aren't laser glasses, but manage to dim the pulsar (and green lasers as well), though I wouldn't trust them as much as real glasses.

What do you mean "protect against the radiation". The light itself is what is the problem, too intense.

I've used the visiballs when a transparent lens backreflected and my eye was ok (and I was glad I was wearing them), but since I don't have a meter, I can't measure the absorption.

do you think my eyes will be harmed if im wearing the visiball glasses, and looking at the dot upclose? i do a lot of burning and testing (i dont get near reflective surfaces, but i do mess with white colored stuff sometimes)

You should use goggles when burning things like matches where your eyes are situated relativly close to the laser dot reflecting off of the match head. While it might not cause damage to your eyes, there is a possibility it can. Do your normal glasses act as lenses? if they focus the light it could potentially be dangerous even from a reflection.

Light is also know as radiation. All of the EM spectrum is radiation

No, those are not designed to block 650nm light. Please stick to actual laser goggles when it comesto your eyes. They don't have to be from Wicked, but they need to be specific to the wavelength involved. If you don't know about a goggle or the awnser is "they might" offer protection, forget about it.
