$45000 for the 2 watt and $75000 for the 4 watt. They wouldn't tell me how much the 6 watt was. _________________

Anyone up for a group buy?
If they didn't have a price for the 6 watt, it may be because they have not actually built one yet at that power level; at those price ranges, I can see why! _________________ \"Man, that thing is WAY too bright!!\" \"Yeah...and your point is...?\" |

That first pic is the one I wanted to save. Serious drool factor. |

The fibre bundle used in this is $2999 from Thor Labs. Than means you could make your own for ~$10,000 if you used professional optics points and optics. You could to it for cheaper if you wanted to machine your own mounts. That would be no problem if you had ascess to a CNC mill and will stocked lathe. _________________

Oh wow, that would be something. Speaking of optics, I wonder how you would collimate a beam with such a variety of wavelengths... I can't even imagine how that'd be done. Curse you, black box!
Very nice find, and very exciting! |

I'd assume you'd collimate each of the three lasers (this is just a mix of three.... right?) seperately... uhm... but if it isn't.... well... uh...
PS: just outta curiosity, if it's got a full spectrum, how is it a laser? _________________

| Nah that's just the thing, it's not an RGB laser; it's a full spectrum laser. There wouldn't be this much fuss if it were an RGB laser; it can lase up to 8 different wavelengths at a time (I think I read somewhere in the article). Quite impressive, and I really wish they released some more technical information about it. |

| Is there a way to get desktop sized copies of those pictures? Especially the first one. |

HUH? is it a fullspectrum laser or only 8 wavelenths? Is 8 enough to make white light?
If its full spectrum, just think about spliting it bouncing the different colors off and refocusing them from different angles on the same spot. |
