Man, I hate it how they've changed it to just 'Executive series'. It makes it impossible to figure out which laser is which.

Unless you have the warning label still attached, you have no idea... Sad

Unless you have a laser power meter, which is very expensive.

Even with a power meter it can be tricky, since the lasers tend to be underpowered. Is it an underpowered Nexus or a completely flukey overpowered Phoenix? Impossible to tell.

This was just a terrible decision to remove the names. Terrible.

WL usually sends out overpowered units a lot mor than underpowered units, (except many say that they receive underpowered Fusions.) but yeah, it could still be tricky.

And yes it sucks that they are just labeling them "Executive Series", IT WILL DISCOURAGE ME FROM BUYING ONE, SINCE MUCH OF THE AESTHETIC OF THE EXEC LASERS IS THE UNIQUE MODEL NAME'S, OF WHICH WERE ON THE LASER ITSELF.

I hope someone at WL observes what people say here, especially a comment such as above. I don't think the rubberized finish that recent WL customers have been talking about is a bad idea, IF it stays on realy well. Something tells me that if the warning sticker came off, such as if it wears out over time, or if it is moved, (which has often had to be done to not interfere with putting the capset on) that it might take some of this rubber finish with it. So whether or not this was a good idea depends on how tough it is.

Anyway, i've wanted one of these Executive series lasers for quite a while and was looking forward to, perhaps, a 95mW Nexus, and thought that the name sounded pretty cool, and thought it would be awesome to have a high powered/burning laser that says on the side "Nexus" would be awesome. Now that i can't get that though, especially since their affiliate has a very similar laser, that is also available in a 150mW model, i might never end up buying from WL unless the Elite series lasers come down in price.

I had a nexus a couple of years back, don't remember seeing anything written on it though?
