On the home page it says Limited Edition in the Spyder graphic. Is this some indication that these new Spyders will be replaced soon with something better or perhaps a different version? I'd hate to order one to find out they release new ones with more features for the same price a couple weeks later.

I would blow my top if I found out that WL had just come out with something better than the spyders, knowing that I had just wasted 2k that could have gone towards it...

nexus said there won't be any +400mw spyders in the next few months.
i'm guessing we won't see any until next year. |

They'll probably come up with something by summer, that's how technology works..
They're probably inventing some sort of stronger laser right now, they just aren't tell us ; ). |

there will always be something better coming out. you just bought the sweetest hand laser out right now, so be happy. also there's a chance you can upgrade it for the difference in price between the newer models. |

I don't even know why you are tripping.
Have you even gotten the Spyder in the mail yet?
These things are brand new !!!!
You are one of the first to have one and you are complaining that they "MIGHT" come out with something better in the future? 
I'm sorry but I'm not going to lose too much sleep over it if they do. |

Technology moves my friend, don't worry too much about it. PC and digicams move even faster!
And yeah, you can get 500mW 532nm greenie for 2K, but it definitely ain't portable like a spyder and bring it around everwhere!  |

hey, if you don't like it because there's something better coming, I'll take it! serously, this is how stuff goes, perhaps WL should have a one month guarrantee that if prices drop within that time, they will refund the difference, but, besides that, don't worry you have a laser most people can't even think of buying!

there will always be something biger and better it is only a mater of time but at least for a short time you will get to be the one that is biger and better thats just the nature of the beast put it this way at least your not stuck with a little 5mw lol   |

Thats a good idea thecheat, I will bring the idea up at our next meeting. The Limited Edition thing is an error, the Spyder is not Limited Edition at this point, but we will have a special Limited Edition out in the near future, and it won't be a higher output power. But it will be first at Wicked Lasers - stay tuned for the surprise.

hey thanks! just here to help.... and to enjoy saving to get a laser! 
PS: nexus... what are you meaning by "coming soon?" let me guess, you've got a bunch of spare crystals that just don't cut it for high output, but, they'll work for a say... under 15mW laser pointer greenie? (blue, red??) and so you're going to make some 5mW pointers and such to eliminate the waste materials, properly, to enthusasts like us for cheap, tell me if I'm close... or is a a freak unit grab bag!!
