| I own a spyder ll gx laser. I just had a few questions on when and when not to wear the glasses. I'm only asking cause i want to protect my eyes and not damage them. Is it harmful to use the laser and shine at a wall 20ft away and look at the green dot without safety glasses? Any way i was just wanting to know what u can do without wearing the glasses and when you need to wear them for protection. thanks. |

| If I am correct, the spyder II gx is 300mW. This means that if you are using it inside, I really recommend using glasses, because you don't know when you might reflect it off of something accidentally, but if you are outside, you should be pretty fine, especially during day time, because your pupils will have contracted and will not seem as bright. At night you should be pretty well off, as long as your not shining at anything close to you, white, or reflecty. |

| Yea its the 200-300mw green spyder ll gx. I mostly use it an night outside and im careful where i shine it. I like to use it inside on occasion and i was just curious if it can damage my eyes when im shinning it around my house and not hitting anything reflective. Is it ok to use it without safety glasses as long as im careful to not hit anything reflective inside? |

In theory, yes. Just hitting it on normal surfaces shouldn't cause eye damage. But if you want to burn something, use glasses, so that you can look at the dot for prolonged periods. |

Yes you must use the laser shades to protect you from laser beam through to your eyes. _________________ Cheapest and quality high power laser pointer, green laser pointer, blue lasers at Techlasers.com - Select your own laser pointer now! |
