| Hi im new to this forum but i really want to know if i can use an aaa battery instead of 3 buton cells. I have one of those really crappy pens about 6cms long or so. Is there a way i can do this? thanks for ur time. |

Well if it fits it will work. But it will be 1/3 as bright. The voltage of one AAA as well as almost all batteries bar 9 volt have a current of 1.2-1.8 V. More voltage means more output. One AA battery voltage at best is 1.8v(with lithiums) 3 button cells of worst quality would output around 3.6V . So best case scenario a AA would be half of the worst case scenario with button cells.
So basically your answer is no. Technically you could but shouldnt |
