I was watching TV recently and saw an ad to join the US Armed Forces. They featured a green laser in the commercial and I'm not sure but it looked a lot like a CNI green laser. If anyone else has seen this or can find it online, I'd like to see what other people think.

Basically, the lasers the military uses for ground troops focuses a beam on infantry which heats up their skin to a degree where it is slightly painful yet does no serious damage.

Quite annoying to have your skin routinely being invisibly burned a mile away lol

I heard they were used at checkpoints to blind drivers who didn't stop, forcing them to pull over.

Actually the weapon that does that is a focused microwave beam weapon. It's used for crowd control. Military lasers are used mainly for targeting, although new systems are being tested for missile defence.
