Folks,
Here is an international poll to see what everyone thinks about global warming and if it is indeed noticable where you live.
Hopefully, because everyone on the forum is from all over the world, we can see whats going on.
Please post any photographic evidence of melting ice caps, flooding, etc if you can to see if we can prove or disprove this phenomenon.
My take on this is that right up to 6-10 years ago, I looked forward to winters here in Scotland because I could pick a weekend and go on the Scottish mountains snowboarding......I cannot do this anymore as the last few years there is practically no snow anymore. Also, package vacations to the swiss alps etc seemed to be going cheap because middle to lower slopes has no snow.
Also, the fall(Autumn) here in Scotland leaves are still on the trees & flower beds are still in full bloom in mid December when say 10 years ago would have died in late October.
So I think something is changing, to what extent, who knows. _________________ Beam divergence formula:

I believe it is too.....partially due to us(humanoids) and partially due to natures own course.
We used to get some drastic snowfall here in the Wyoming mountains, but each year it seems to be a little less...although the bitter subzero temps are still here. _________________ Best Regards Chargerman

Mars' Polar caps are melting fast. Neptune is experiencing massive temperature rises. Jupiter is forming a new storm just like the 200 year old "Great Red Spot" as a result of unprecedented temperature rises recently.
Scientist from NASA claim that this is all normal behavior from the Sun.
How you you think those Mammoths were buried in the ice to begin with? It was once quite sunny in Northern Siberia, the melting is all quite normal as a result of the spikes in Solar Activity (called Solar Peak). It's due to peak now and fall again shortly over the next few years. If it wasn't for the internet, there'd be little or no discussion on the matter.
Al Gore's documentary ("An Inconvenient Truth") required actual lawsuits before the producers would remove the names of Scientists who now claim their comments were taken completely out of context.
So YES, global warming is real.
No, humans have contributed NOTHING to cause it.
No, there's nothing you can do about it.
Blame the Sun. _________________ Regards,

| I have noticed something, last winter was a bit late (april-may), and it was warmer than usual, and I think it was the warmest here in 20 years. |

yup, agreed! it is getting warmer, but it's not because of us!
I mean, CFC's only harm the southern icecap by destroying ozone and creatign a hole in what is known as the "polar vortex". That's the only reason those gasses (heavier then air) can make it to the atmosphere.
So now we have less efficient fridges and they're complaining we need to cut energy costs. Thanks a bunch!

Have we all forgotten that our planet is still coming out if an ice age?
Recent core samples from the north and south polar ice caps have shown that our planet has been getting 2 degrees warmer every ~1500 years and has been doing so for the past 60 million years. Before the ice age the entire planet was tropical. When were cars, refrigerators, coal and oil plants and everything else that is supposedly at fault invented? The last 100-200 years?
Is it our fault? No. we contribute a tiny bit to it but it's only a small fraction of the whole.
Do we know for sure what is actually causing it? Refer to my Ice age comment. Take an orange, representing earth, and put it in the freezer. after a day Take it and put it out on the counter to thaw. halfway through the thawing process populate your orange with microscopic politicians. They'll come up with citrus warming. Will they actually know why their orange-planet is getting warmer? probably not.
Can we do anything about it? Again, No.
Will The human race even survive long enough without destroying ourselves to see the aftermath of this so-called "Global warming"? Doubtful. _________________

EXACTLY!!
Lol I'm so tired of the people at my school talking about this... first they were all on the bandwagon of "we caused it! we're all going to die!!" Then, from recent news, somehow they got the idea that it isn't even real in the least bit. They don't understand anything about earth's transitions (ice ages) and how they work...
It is real and we can't stop it. No doubt we can mess with it though... 0.o |

So how much longer do you think the human race can survive? Will we eventually need to have to wear gas masks, or oygen tanks? _________________ Pulsar*- sold to: Laserhigh for $250

Oh, who the hell are you kidding? It's totally my fault because I bought that 5W Spectra-Physics Innova 90 multi line Argon/Ion on e-bay and have been shining it upwards for over a year, heating the atmosphere...you remember that three phase model I wanted almost two years ago? You should see my electric bill.
No, I'm kidding - I didn't buy the laser...if I did, it would still be sitting out in my garage collecting dust like my other Argon/Ion laser is.
so, it's been a while guys - how have you all been?
Oh, right – the topic, global warming. No I don’t think its our fault entirely…I think the planet goes through periodic changes throughout it’s life – it’s done this a few times by now. Though I think we've contributed a little bit to the problem in the last 100 years with heavy industry.
