As promised this is my crossfire 300mW review.

When I recieved my laser yesterday i put my batteries on charge for half an hour... then took them off charge and started to fiddle. Laughing I couldnt wait. So all the vids in this post ar on about a quarter charge.

The first time I picked up the crossfire, instantly any small cni pen lasers I had owned seemed insignificant. It has quite a weight to it, even without batteries and has a very quality feel. The key and dongle add to the feel of the laser.

I put the batteries in and prepared myself. I turned it on, wowed at the beam for about 2 seconds and then realised that my work uniform tie was smoking (its put a ruddy great hole in it! Laughing ).

The dot is perfectly clean, no scatter...the fact that i can shut the apature with help keep it like that. I looked at the divergence in comparison to my other lasers. Its much better! It does however have quite a beam diameter...BUT IT STILL BURNS LIKE MADDD Twisted Evil

Putting your hand in the path of the crossfire is mad, it hurts a crazy amount before you can say ouch, and thats on my pale skin.
I then went on a spree of sacrificing things to the crossfire... hehe (it sounds god like).

My goggles case is already covered in little scratching from other lasers, after it got in the crossfires beam for about 4 seconds, lots of smoke was produced and it put a big nasty hole in it!

I continued to put things in the beam. Newspaper, pens, card, headphones, mouse, keyboard, crisp packet, clothes, socks, foam... it goes on.

Of corse there were matches and balloons, and did i heck sharpie the matches...this beast doesnt need that! VIDEOS BELOW -

MATCH LIGHT FROM ABOUT A FOOT
MATCH LIGHT FROM ABOUT 4 FEET
CLOSE UP BALLOON POP
3 BALLOONS FROM ABOUT 5 FOOT
I GOT SOME NEWSPAPER TOO

So basicly we now know that this thing is a monster when it comes to burning!

I got my (aNother Laser company 105mW laser out)

When placed next to each other the crossfire dwarfs it. There is no comparison!

The cni lasers are toys in comparison.

The price of this laser is incredible for what you get from it.

>It feels good
>It looks good
>It has amazing divergence
>Its rechargable
>It burns VERY well
>Its the cheepest laser in its catagory

This is the best laser i have ever purchased! I am still slightly scared of it, but I think thats probs the best way to be about it.

I have only 1 gripe...the warning sticker was crumpled, so i didnt stick it on Sad Can i have a new one techlasers? Sad Very Happy

1 more photo for the road Very Happy

what if you have to change the batterie?

can you buy such Li-Io Battery in stores? Or is it a special thing for the Crossfire?

I know Wickeds Spyder II series takes one... and I do think these models also take one. I think they just sent an extra. If it takes two, unless in parallel, it would be over 7V, way to much. Now two in parallel would be a nice option as the laser would be operational for a very long time before needing a recharge!

My Crossfire just came in yesterday, I have been shopping around town to locate the batteries. After talking with a few shops, many local stores will not carry the battery due to liability reasons. Apparently they are very dangerous when it comes to overcharging and exposure to moisture. As a result, I bought a few of them off of Battery Junction.(online)

Nice review Chickenfish. I've already been anxious to fire up my Crossfire, but with no batteries it makes things difficult...now with your review you've made things worse for me. Laughing

Wow, I don't care if these are knockoffs or not, these reviews are giving nothing but good speculation on these things.

I can't imagine what would happen if you focused that thing with a lens Shocked

hadez16 - The batteries are a common kindo of li-ion laptop battery, nothing crossfire related. I ordered mine from an online uk battery seller. They are easy to get hold of.

Aseras - It only takes one 18650 cell, that was my spare in one of the pics.

wondergimp - Sorry for making your wait for batteries worse. Laughing What crossfire have you ordered?

Nice review! I'm glad you're happy with it. It sounds like all of your belongings are soon to take on the appearance of Swiss cheese. lol

poor goggles case... Sad I think it'll RIP (rest in pieces)

Anyways, yeah, be CAREFUL of overcharging, and over discharging. If the battery goes too low (I hope that has a voltage cutoff...) it WON'T accept a charge, and if it gets overcharged. Kaboom!

Also, lithium violently reacts with water... The proper way to throw them away is to use saltwater (not sure about canister cells... I'm familiar with foil cells) poke holes in them and let them bubble.

but if you forget the salt, they'll explode. Cool

So...
overcharging= kaboom
water= kaboom
deep discharge=no more battery.

Shocked

Excellent review chickenfish. That beast is outputting more than 300mW in my opinion going by the thickness of the beam and the utter speed it lit the matches. As for the instant pop of the balloons. Shocked Shocked

Nice laser Wink

Which UK online battery company did you buy those batteries from and why did you not buy them and a charger from techlasers??

Muhaha, water + lithium Twisted Evil .
Ermmm I ordered my batteries from a company called battech. I did that because it was cheaper postage wise then to order from techlasers. Even techlasers said save yourself $20 and get it from your own country.
Thanks for the comments Very Happy.
I <3 my crossfire
