Woah! where'd that nice case come from! 
here's what MINE looks like...
I used a continuous on switch and a rheostat (25 ohms for choosing 50-40mA @6v) and the thing works great, no heat that I can tell... and that pvc pipe is holding the 2 CR123 batteries...

LOL, thanks, Actually both the switch and pot were originally on my RITZ cracker box amp I made... and I was lazy so I just soldered the switch to the Rheostat.
But I HOPE to make it more carryible! I hate having to make something so makeshift... but, not too much I can do... I do have this cool LED based thing that I might be able to change the alkaline button cells out with lithium cells... It'd be a pretty nice and compact deal too! It'd even have a flash mode!

yeah is a bit of a shitter, but hey.
yeah i will buy another at some point. im currently making some more red pointers so am gona have to put this on hold for a bit.
the diode works just only outputs 5mw now |
